GDT: WCQF: Game 1 - LA Kings vs Edmonton Oilers , 7:00 PT

The Oilers D was no where near as bad as when Canucks had to play Deharnais on the 1st pairing with both Hronek and Hughes out. We had
Deharnais-Myers
Soucy-Juulsen
Forbort-Friedman/Brannstrom

No D was as bad as when Canucks were icing this for 3 or 4 games. A collection of 7th or 8th depth defensemen with Myers being the best of the bunch and all were slower than a snail.

I was the Canucks biggest bandwagon fan last year lol and i like most of the players on the Canucks . I had 3 of them on my fantasy team this year and I actually won the championship for the 3rd time in 7 years while being in 1st place all year . We have 10 players and its a 200 dollar buy in , 2nd place gets money back and 1st takes rest.

I had Hughes , Boeser and Demko. Big fan of all 3 and JT Miller before the shenanigans in the lockerroom. I always wanted Demko and Miller on the Kings . I knew Hughes would never happen so my expectations were more realistic lol.

I’m not so sure that no one cares. There’s a poster in here who’s crying about it and using profanities for something that’s so minor.

I’d make a safe bet to say he cares or he wouldn’t be making all these crying posts.

Ok but the Kings players won't care at all. At this point I think they are focused to beat the Oilers just for their sanity. Perry could keep stealing all the pucks that he wants. Heck if I was LA, I would mail Perry a bunch of pucks since he loves the pucks so much

Kings need to beat the Oilers this year. It's either this year or never. I mean it is the 4th time for God sakes. Canucks even slayed the dragon in Chicago which was a cup caliber team in round one, when they were always losing to them in the playoffs.

Oh for sure . We got better while they got worse . They got slower , older and smaller . So if its not this year its never . This is definite our best chance and im expecting our first series win in over a decade but im also ready for heartbreak but if we play our game which is what the first 40 mins was tonight then i think we finally slay our dragon this year

But I doubt Kings are going to lose their focus just because Perry stole the puck. They will try to win the next game. They asked for it, he didn't give it, then its not a big issue. Win the next game and hope Perry steals the puck again.

Oh hes godly on the ice bro as a fan of hockey its a marvel to see what he’s capable of . Thats why i even mentioned after the game ended that we sat back turtled and allowed Mcdavid to go god mode. Hes definitely the best player in the world along with Mackinnon but i have watched Ovi and Crosby and the Forsbergs , Yzermans , Sakics , Datsyuks etc before him and everything they had to go through but they never acted like an entitled spoiled brat who can dish out dirty cheap stuff but make a big fuss when its retaliated . I loved seeing Soucy crosscheck him across the face last year that was definitely a highlight . Imagine if Mcdavid played around the same time as the others i mentioned he would have been hit into next week and been headhunted like Crosby was . Crosby used to whine too but not act like a douche and cry as much as Mcpuss

Your logic doesn’t add up here. You say the kings are focused on winning the series, then why worry about a puck from game 1 of the Stanley cup playoffs? It’s not like they had any player score a milestone goal.

If you were so focused, you’d take the win and move on to the next game. Maybe worry about a puck when you actually win the series. I don’t know maybe that’s just me .

Dude, I hate goalies dropping to butterfly and hunching their backs to become as small as physically possible. It's like these 6'4" goalies are trying to squeeze into becoming 5'1". Who taught them to tend the goal like this?

You’re probably right that plays a factor but if you watch the series and are not biased you would see he can play dirty but act like a crybaby when its retailated . You go to a game and Mcdavid is alwahsw talking shet to the refs and crying for a call after .

Doughty is definitely a big whiney baby with a lot of emotion but hes our whiney baby lol

Yeah i wont disagree with you that he probably should draw more penalties then he does but can’t deny that he also gets special treatment and doesn’t get called for blatant penalties. Today he held Kopis stick several times and i know my Kings cried about it to the refs but i guess it goes both ways . Id love to just see a great series but hopefully we finally slay our dragon and aend Mcpuss and the Oilers packing cheers mate
