I don’t see what the game being high scoring has to do with it. That moves the target of what is good. Thats all.

The best ones aren’t that inconsistent. The pretty good not great ones are.

Oettinger struggled a lot of this season and sucked last playoffs, Demko was bad last year, Shesterkin struggled in the first half, Hellebuyck got lit up last playoffs, Sorokin hasn't even been starting recently. There's been inconsistencies even with the really good goalies.

Higher scoring league means poorer goaltending. Self explanatory
