I’ve been hard on McLeod and lack physicality- but since a poster posted some defensive metrics I’ve been looking at him differently- guys broken up so many plays this game with his stick and speed. He’s been excellent

This! He’s great at the 2 way game. Always gets back and in position. Darts into areas to stifle rushes.

I feel so safe when he's back checking a guy through the neutral zone. A lot of his back checks turn into odd man rushes going the other way as well.

He plays the game different, but if he added a physical element to his game, he would be an elite 3rd line center.
