The Avs sat Mack for the last 3, Makar and Toews didn't go on the 2 game Cali trip, and Nuke and Lehk got sat for the Ducks game.

One of the new guys on Spittin Chiclets two days ago said he's worried about the Avs in round 1 because all their stars are hurt and they're not playing.

My guy.... lol

So many trends pointing up for us and down for the Stars. I know it all ultimately doesn't matter but really hope we come out flying Saturday and annihilate the Stars at their home. I'm talking game 2 SCF Avs-Lighting annihilation.

We've talked about the forward top 6 for days and the defense. But the other aspect I'm most excited for is our bottom six. Cmac and of course health has done a masterful job. I think the bottom six has the perfect combination of speed, and tenacious forcheck that is ripe for playoff style hockey. A hard working bottom six can be the biggest difference maker in the playoffs. 2022 had Compher, Sturm, Cogliano, and Helm who all leveled up and were difference makers.

I'm looking at guys like Coyle, LOC, Colton, Drury....all of them who can have a big playoffs here. Biggest wildcard of course Landeskog.

I don't want a huge win like vs Vegas. Then we lost few games for pure cockiness. This team needs to be challenged.

Anyways, nobody should take this Dallas team lightly. They have ****loads of firepower. One game at the time.

The new Robertson injury is just compounded by the fact that Dallas has to turn around and play game 1 right away. That might not even be enough time for the swelling in his knee to go down, even if he isn't seriously injured.

Dallas is just getting hit left and right at the moment. I love it. The Avs have zero excuses, you're never going to get a better time to finally beat this Dallas team in the postseason.

Losing this series against a Dallas team in their current state, combined with how hard cMac went at the deadline at the expense of the future, should initiate scorched earth mode for the Kroenkes.

Vegas is so lucky. They get a get to conference finals free pass
Personally, I've got them losing to the mild.

The mild went through a ton of adversity and somehow kind of still maintained their playoff spot when most teams would have gone in the crapper had they lost their top players the way the mild did for as long as they did. Meanwhile, the golden turds haven't face any adversity. I just don't think it's their year. (but certainly, the refs can easily change that for gary's beloved golden boys)

I've also got the bLose beating out the jets.

The jets practically just had the same regular season that they had last year (116pts vs 110pts) and still have the same top players they were expecting to take their play 'up a notch' last year and didn't are going to be counted on again to do so this year. They also still don't have a real #2C. I think the bLose take this series since they still have a handful of those core vets that have won before.

I think in the East - where everybody and their uncle seems to believe that is where the upsets are going to be - are in for a surprise. The Habs who barely squeaked out a 4-2 win against a Hurricanes pre-season roster yesterday to get in to the playoffs are very unlikely to be able to beat a team like the Capitals who Spencer Carbury has had rolling all season long, cruising to first place in the East. The Habs will be in 'just happy to be here mode'... I think it will be over quickly.

Same for the Senators.... congrats, you finally made it! I don't think they are beating the Leafs - who were able to outpace both the Lightning and the Panthers to win the division. That team will also be in 'just happy to be here mode' and that experienced Leafs team will take them out swiftly.

So what does your West look like?

STL beats WPG and MIN beats VGK... LAK over EDM?

Show me your West predictions to the final!

I can see the Blues beating the Jets, but no way Wild beating Vegas

If we make to the finals going through Dallas, Peg and Vegas, then we deserve it at that point..... Assuming we're not completely decimated with injuries by then.
I don't think the Bolts have the Center depth to go the distance. Barkov and Bennett are proven and still in their prime. Point is good, but you need more than one.

Cirelli is a 60 pt Selke level center. Who has more Cups then Bennet or Barkov. And is 27. I’d love to know the definition of proven and prime if Cirelli doesn’t match those criteria.

Man, that absolutely sucks that Robertson went out with some sort of injury, but let's not get ahead of ourselves here...DeBoer has continually made Bednar his bitch, in every playoff series.
Is it DeBoer owning Bednar or more like every time we played Dallas in the playoffs we’ve had key players out of the lineup?
