Well they didn't want to have Soviet tanks in Stokholm I guess. But you did quite well alone during The Winter War ;)

There were a substantial amount of private swedish volunteers that went over to help Finland in the war. But officially, no Sweden wasn't involved. We were busy kissing nazi ass.

And a majority of the volunteers weren't even engaged in battle ;) and those who came over after Finland got help with germany, got welcomed back as scum. Even though sweden had more ideological ties than Finland to the nazis.

To somewhat quote Mannerheim's speach to the führer..

"We don't share ideology... We share only an enemy, we welcome your help, but we will not let go of our people".

ZERO finnish jews went to concentration camps.

94/18/33 are not cycling the puck...too many times 94 tries to stabilize the play along the boards and has no support! But things are looking better...61 61 61 61

Hey, I didn't say swedes aren't sly, backstabbing and spineless. Actually, in some ways I can definitly understand why some finns detest the kind of "diplomatic" attitude some swedes have.

I sanyone else seeing blue flashing lights on the ice?

I just want to know if I should take my migraine medicine (if no one else is seeing it).

If someone is stealing your little brother's toys... it's your duty as a big brother to help out, even if the other guy is bigger and stronger. And if the big brother declines to help out with full power... The little brother has every right to be mad ^^

Even the swedish king wanted sweden to help out fully and visited the troops near battlezones at several occasions...

3-3 final. Canada finally showed some moxy at the end, but they were lucky.

Good game Finland. Definately an UGLY game by Canada, this team desperately needs a system and Hasheid continues to fail them.

Well, despite being two goals ahead this draw makes me happy. It was an important point and the it was also the best game Team Finland has played in this tournament. The game against Team USA was good but this was better imo. Still left to improve but this time Team Finland was a TEAM.

I say it will be a draw, perhaps 3-3.

I am not convinced that Canada, which looked fairly tired in the later stages of the game yesterday, can recover fully for this game. That said, if Luongo gets the start, he will be better than Brodeur was, as he is accustomed to the enormous shot totals.

:yo: Who called it? Give me my medal...

the rivalry between Finland and Sweden is a bit wierd ;)

Why Finland hates the Swedes is because they didn't help us in world war two, causing Finland to go and get their help from the nazis, which was very unpopular in most parts of Finland and it's governing (excluding Svinhufvud) and Finland saw it as a knife in the back from our own big brother, and Sweden hates Finland just because Finland hates swedes ;) making the swedes hate for finns more hallow, and not quite as strong.

You really need to update your knowledge of history & politics...That's not the reason why we 'hate' the swedes, the reason is the fact that they treated us like little brother for so long.
