Why not? I dont get the idea of playing with 7, IMO it should be three pairs when it`s 5 on 5. and maybe a PK specialist.reaper said:What do you guys think about playing with 6 defenders? Seemed to be working very well today but maybe too tough against better teams.

19 for president said:Also to the Swedes, seems like you guys were raving about Kronwalls play, could someone give me and overview of his and Zs first 2 games. Also is the Franzen u guys keep talking about the Wings prospect, if so could you discuss him a bit as well thanks.
Thanks for the updates!wassup77 said:IMO...you should be very proud of your boys. For the first time ever I saw Daniel and Henrik going infront of the net, blocking the goalie and steering shots and actually trying to score goals. I guess they've finally found a winger who works well with them (Mikael Samuelsson). They didn't fool arround in the corners like they usually do.
Kronwall is the best defenceman Sweden have in this tournament. He gave Daniel Alfredsson and Magnus Kahnberg amazing breakaway passes wich resulted in 2 goals. His defensive work was enormous. You just have to see it to understand how great he actually was. I'm not sure he was as good in the first game though.
Zetterberg was great in both games. He is always great so no big surprise I guess? He got the MVP in the first game.
Thats my opinion, I don't know if others agree with me.
Franzén is a wings prospect and he is a big and strong defensive center who fits very good in a checking line.
the 2nd goalie Stefan Liv is also a wings prospect btw.
19 for president said:Yulp Liv I knew about. I had check the Swedish Roster on the official site and could not find Franzen, which is why I was wondering. The Wings desperately need a great D prospect. I liked what I saw from Kronwall when he was called up last season. I loved his ability to make the long outlet pass, but I haven't been able to see him much this season, so I was wondering what ya'll thought. Also does Z seem to be able to handle physical pressure better, or is that still his major weakness?

Robertsson 4-ever said:Agreed... and as it looks now I'd like those pairs:
Bäckman - Jönsson
Johansson - Sundin
Norström - Kronwall
Robertsson 4-ever said:Out: Rhodin... makes strange plays now and then, gets burned when trying to transport the puck. His only good aspect is his shot, but I would rather see Kronwall being used at the point.
Riddarn said:Kronwall should definitly be used more on the PP. Did he even get a shot at it against denmark? I didn't see him.
Robertsson 4-ever said:We didn't have so much PP time but Rhodin-Jönsson and Bäckman-Kronwall seems to be our PP pairings.
Seiza said:Thoughts about the game:
-The Sedins improved their game, but I still feel like Samuelsson is carrying that line. He makes things happen. Much more straight forward than the Sedins.
-Kronwall and Bäckman are world class.
-Nice to see Lundqvist with a shutout.
-Höglund needs to go, replace him with Franzén.
-Great to see Kahnberg scoring, we need him later on.
-The Z-line isn't working, something might have to be done there. Weinhandl out, Franzén in?
