I am guessing not many of these players will make it to the actual tournament, but I think Heed, Nygård, Ejdsell, L. Johansson as well as the two keepers have a shot. The only player on this roster that made the team last year was Linus Johansson.

At least nice that he is testing some young guys like Lindbom, Myrenberg, Lekkerimäki and Unger Sörum.

I can see Lindbom making the roster as a third keeper. If we get mass declines, maybe, just maybe Lekkerimäki could have a shot.

Suprising names for me is Ehn, Eklind, Andreasson, Oscarsson, Berglund and Myrenberg. Where is Lodin?
Well, Ehn has played two tournaments for Hallam this year, so I guess he likes him. Have a hard time seeing him making it all the way to the final roster thou.

Berglund, Eklind and Andreasson just seems like roster filler until more players gets available.

Oscarsson and Myrenberg are there for the future I guess

I think Fantenberg has a chance, he is a very good player but seems to be injury prone.

Lines,

Unger Sörum - Ejdsell - Lekkerimäki
Nygård - Johansson - Lang
Bristedt - Vejdemo - Andreasson
Eklind - Ehn - Oscarsson

Fantenberg - Heed
Sellgren - Hardegård
Alsing - Johannesson
Berglund - Myrenberg

William Eklund - Leo Carlsson - Lucas Raymond/Alexander Holtz
I like it. There are two best-on-best tournaments coming up, I'd like to see Hallam trying candidates in this tournament.

Yeah, I guess. He wouldn't embaress himself in a bottom pairing role. The top-4 I really hope are just NHL regulars

What is the background on Eklind? Turns 26 this summer but the Flyers just signed him to an ELC.

What is the background on Eklind? Turns 26 this summer but the Flyers just signed him to an ELC.

He’s a career grinder on mostly bad/lackluster teams, who Luleå management envisioned as an offensive net front presence, which he delivered on especially during the first half of the season, when he basically doubled his previous highs in goals and points. He became a first time parent earlier this winter, and entered a slump he attributed to sleepless nights.

It was unfortunate, he became frustrating to watch, especially during the playoffs where he rarely if ever utilized his physicality or converted on his many chances.

I’d be pleasantly surprised if the Flyers finds the next Tomas Holmström here, but he was both effective and imposing for a while prior to the newborn.

I wonder if there’s some respect with Hallam for Luleå’s system or something, where Andreasson and Eklind have found surprising success. Sellgren too, I guess, but he’s been solid for more than a year… I dunno, Hallam might just like the guys.

Second to Mario Kempe quitting on us, Andreasson’s probably been our biggest disappointment this season. I didn’t really expect him to make the NHL: I did watch virtually every game that almost glorious season and he was a most pleasant surprise, but I definitely thought he was going to struggle in the AHL without a guy like Omark clearing up space and serving him ridiculous passes on the tape. Besides his goal scoring catching fire that year, Andreasson was near-Omark level at protecting the puck though… I just didn’t see his strengths and the conditions for his SHL success translating to NA ice. He also got cold in the finals, with Einar Emanuelsson taking his spot on Omark’s line.

I did hope that Andreasson would’ve picked up a thing or two in the AHL, or at least returning where he’d left off, rediscovering that chemistry with Omark. But his confidence seemed shot for most of the year, inconsistent and disappointing.

The article is behind a paywall, so I could only read the intro. But Adam Larsson says he will decline, because they just had a newborn this weekend. André Burakovsky says he is interested
