At least it's his left hand so he can still throw those right haymakers at people when he comes back
I don't think he will often have the multi-game goal scoring streak like he did pre-injury, but I think he's better than 0 goals in 12 games.
Just like I don't expect to see Simmonds score as he has in the past 5 games over an entire season, but it would suck to see him go 0 for 12 when he returns.
Interesting
Don't know. Not comparing WIllie to Bennett but if you want to go that far, how many own goals does Bennett have ?![]()
Correct I did his penalty minutes as games played.I think your math is off Bennett 19pts/30 games = 0.63PPG/0.36 GPG. Willie 15/20 = 0.6 PPG/0.2 GPG (not even factoring TOI). Bennett better numbers in a larger sample size as well. Anyway I am not comparing the two as Willie is clearly the better player. My point is that Bennett has not had a nothing career as Zeke claims.
Nope. Everyone is citing that tweet from what I've seenHas anything been announced apart from the one tweet by Friedman?
Not trying to argue with you over wanting Bennett, I want him myself, but if your argument is to compare his 19 points in 30 playoff games, to Nylanders 15 points in 25 games shows that he is a playoff performer, then your argument really doesn't have any legs to stand on.A career nothing is your opinion only. Strange you being a numbers guy.
Sam Bennett 30 Playoff games 11 goals 8 assists 19 points 38 PIM. In comparision, Sweet Sexy Willie has 5 goals, 10 assists and 4 PIM in 25 playoff games. We need players that show up when it counts and he has a reputation of doing just that.
Not a chance. We already have a backlog of talent trying to get in.Need to make a trade.
He is not in any sense of the word on a nice contract. Especially for this team.
It really is 20 games to be exact.Big blow. 6 weeks is like 25 games this year.

19 points in 30 games is .63 points per game.
15 points in 25 games is .6 points per game.
We have the best power play in the league and a large part of that is having 2 solid lines. Also can we please put Tavares on the PP now?

What’s the point of having a solid 2nd unit when they hit the ice with 20 seconds left in the PP?We have the best power play in the league and a large part of that is having 2 solid lines.
Why would you want to change that?
