Wattanite at the Bell Centre, Habs win in OT!

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

Montembeault is Huet.

A nice little find that comes in and provides some stretches of goaltending to provide an adequate bridge to the next great Habs goalie (Dobes or Fowler or Volokhin).

I finally zeroed in on the vibe I've had for him for awhile.
Really? I thought Huet was much more reliable. Although watching Dobes the other day I thought he looked like what Aebischer would have looked like if he was actually really good.

Officially in a playoff spot

Only 4 pts back of Bruins with 2 games in hand, too. Montreal definitely has an opportunity to take their spot.

I think he's got more ability than huet.

Nobody has started more games and he's generally been good. He deserves some slack.

But I get your point now that I read it again. He isn't their future guy.

Huet was very good for us. Its not disrespectful. Its just what he is. A great story that holds space until the next goaltending savior of the franchise takes the torch.

Oh Aebischer. Would star fish on the ice whenever the play broke down.

I might actually keep Armia. That line is so good together, and he's an ace pker. He's 32 this summer, though. I wouldn't go more than 2 years.
People forget too quickly how he played the last 3 seasons (minus the last 30ish games last year). It's a contract year personally i'd stay far away from any extension.

Well we now know who will dethrone Suzuki on the payroll hierarchy. Hutson is un-f***ing-believable. The posters who convinced me last year of his talent, you are the stars. Now my friends and family can't stop pointing out how I was right he'd be a menace in his first season.

I'm almost in tears just from the joy of having him wear the CH! Feels good
You should have put some money on it.
