One of Jesses' better songs. There is a recent article printed in the NYT concerning Jesse. Everyone thinks he is Dylan......to me.....more like Neil Young. BTW, he is from Arkansas; he was at Farm Aid. Never thought I would like someone post- Neil Young.

John Lydon sat in front of the drums while Sid Vicious was barely able to stand and said into the mic, “ do you get the feeling you’ve been cheated”. He left the pistols, formed Public Image Ltd and released first issue, which I firmly believe was written solely to aggravate every Sex Pistols fan who heard it. Some of us liked it anyway.

I realize that a life lived searching the fringes of music and pushing the envelope of sound art can result in some pretty odd moments like that last DEVO cover. Here’s another one that focuses more on talent than vision.

But sometimes you gotta leap before you look.

Posting this as...

Last week was probably the first time I picked up a guitar in 10 years.

My brother is an excellent guitarist and bassist and my Dad was a roadie for two pretty decent sized UK bands in the 1980s... (he has Terry Hall and Lemmy stories as a result which is cool!)...

but tbh I only ever dabbled and hated how long it took to learn new things to perfection (as opposed to sport where can kind of fluke something quickly then just have to get replicability)...

but I can play, a bit.

Basically, girlfriend loves Fleetwood Mac and we were having some drinks and listening to them. And tipsy Alexander goes "I used to be able to play this" when The Chain came on... as ofc it is kind of "badass guitar/bassline 101s"...

so she went to the other room and got her guitar and told me to teach her to play it!

I reckon it took 5 tries but did. (well, the famous bassline transposed onto guitar... the actual guitar solo which is way easier than the bassline (ofc also easy, hence how I can play it!) after sounds very bad on an acoustic btw.)
