probably not the first to find Ren, but I am going down this fantastic rabbit hole now.
I'd like to remind you that "You Oughta Know" exists.
Probably the best album to come out of Britain and Ireland in a few years.

Top 3 album of 2022 for me - fanf***ingtastic
It's a great record. I just don't get into albums the way I used to when I was younger. In a typical year, I might run across one record I really like but that's usually it. I'm trying to make more of an effort and I was lucky enough to hit upon a few favorites this past year. This one in particular was aces and pretty much all I listened to this spring and summer. I've been playing the hell out of Blue Rev for the last month or so and I quite liked The Smile album as well, along with a few other honorable mentions. Meanwhile, I just decided to give Nilüfer Yanya's latest a spin today and I think I'm going to be kicking myself for not doing that sooner:
These guys are so good at moving fluidly between styles. I'd never guess these guys are djent/metalcore.
That's pretty damn good. I should listen to them more. For some reason, the vocalist reminds me of Zeal & Ardor.
Also, for some reason, I get really emotional listening to this:
I just keep listening to it and I like it more with each listen.
I used to listen to a lot of Katatonia. This song seems less gloomy than in the past - kinda reminds me of VOLA in some ways! Good stuff!
