I think team presidents or CEOs etc.. ?Do many, or any, other clubs have hockey ops roles above GM?

XG didn't have final authority over trades or draft selections. That was Bill's domain.I think team presidents or CEOs etc.. ?
BA reported directly to XG I thought , wouldn’t this be similar?
I’d guess at least 1/3 to 1/2 of the league has a President of Hockey Ops. It’s a normal role. But generally when you become the President of hockey ops in the best hockey league in the world you have some experience in … ya know…hockey … ops…Do many, or any, other clubs have hockey ops roles above GM?
Bill has worked in every position in hockey ops. Chris has been an agent...for golfers...and Dubas.I’d guess at least 1/3 to 1/2 of the league has a President of Hockey Ops. It’s a normal role. I guess BA telling Ryan and Ashley he had tears running down his cheeks when they landed in Utah didn't mean much. This scares me. A lot.

XG had nothing to do with hockey operations. This new Armstrong person is over hockey operations.Exactly.
Who set the budget? It wasn’t BA.XG had nothing to do with hockey operations. This new Armstrong person is over hockey operations.

What do u think is more likely. He’s a conduit to ownership and the business side of things or as someone who has zero experience in hockey as an agent he is going to meddle on drafting, roster development, and or scouting?True, but setting a budget and having direct linear control over hockey ops are two different jobs. The GM can work relatively unfettered under the auspices of the first so long as he stays within the budget, but that's not true for the second.
He's hockey ops, right? So that indicates the second option. What do u think is more likely. He’s a conduit to ownership and the business side of things or as someone who has zero experience in hockey as an agent he is going to meddle on drafting, roster development, and or scouting?
Everyone has a boss. I’m a CEO. I still answer to a Board. He's hockey ops, right? So that indicates the second option.
