Post-draft, half-assed predictions for 2 FAs we'll sign:

Z. Smith (End) -- a bit older (32) but younger than Judon (33) or V. Miller (36), and line up in multiple spots on the DL, similar to a couple of our other signings, which means more flexibility/different looks for the coaches to throw

JK Dobbins (RB) -- lots of injury history, but was a good producer last year for LAC when he was on the field (missed 4 games of 17); would be a low-risk/potentially-high-reward signing to compete w/ B. Rob

I actually like CRod or Macaroni Crossfit :dunno: to compete with BRob. I doubt they will keep five RBs so between Brob, Ek, McNic, CRod and Marshmellow Crockpot, one of them has to go. I'm betting its between BRod and CRod, they are redundant players to each other.

* I'm not even trying to type out that whole hyphenated name. WTF are his actual initials?

I'm leery of counting on a 7th rounder (JCM) to be a legitimate threat to start, especially after essentially missing all of last year (played one game). Fine with the pick, but I think we should temper immediate expectations.

I think Ek is the guy they're most locked into because he does lots of different things. But JKD is 26, and if he can stay healthy and be good on a one-year prove-it deal, he feels like a better bet to give a 2- or 3-year deal starting in '26 (the latter would run to his age 30 season) than B. Rob. If he doesn't, then they can see what they've got in JCM after a year of development or draft another RB next spring.

Yea, Za’Darius Smith just makes too much sense at this point. He’s the same age as Fowler, who Quinn somehow rehabilitated to 10.5 sacks. Smith is coming off better seasons than Fowler had before coming to DC.

I don’t remember how much cap space we have left. But, you’d think we’d be able to sign a guy like that for a couple years. Especially if AP sees us as a “win now” team.

90,000 is way too much for a stadium in 2025. Seattle plays in a 68,000 seat stadium and is loud as hell. That's what you want. Minnesota's new stadium is 67,000. This is in line with modern stadiums.

Yeah, the way they lay out the smaller ones now makes them more suitable for other events without having to do as much shit on the field. I'm for whatever makes it about as permanent an investment and attraction as it can be, so bring on the roof and parking without much care for TG. I like open air games and a good tailgate, but everything should be geared around making it useful and conducive to building up around it. Make it a keeper for the District, first and foremost.

Yeah, but it's a chicken or the egg thing. Everyone's saying he went in the 7th because he wasn't eligible last year, but that he was tracking higher prior to that. We see those cases every year, except it's more often for injury or suspension stuff. Apparently he's healthy and not that type of knucklehead.

Deep RB class, unique set of circumstances... He might not be your traditional 7th rounder, is all I'm saying.

Can’t listen to your Daddy too much….pretty shocking he was ill prepared.

“What I heard was his whiteboard work… he struggled lining up the offense correctly in anything but spread sets… he doesn’t know pass protections,” McChesney said. That lack of pro-style familiarity raised concerns among scouts, particularly about Sanders’ ability to lead complex NFL systems.

So dumb. You know he's capable. And this is how overwhelming Dad's whole thing is: Shedeur's supposed to know to bone up, every agent of a 1st-round QB prospect knows to lean on him to bone up, they'll hire people to help him bone up, they'll put feelers out trying to find out exactly what to expect...

You gotta ignore ALL THAT SHIT to show up dopey. You gotta believe that you're SO special that none of that applies to you -- even though all three marquee 1sts last year did the work and damn near no one thought you were as good as any of them, or even your QB class.

You have to hate to win and love to lose to blow it this bad. What a f***in dummy.

If this doesn't humble him, nothing ever will.

Totally can see the arrogance in him passed through his father. Thing is, the dad backed that shit up in spades. The son hasn’t achieved a damn thing of real importance to have that attitude and it cost him dearly.

This will probably motivate him for his entire career. I can see him still being a good QB in the league.

He had his jersey retired for having one solid season. He's been heaped praise on him his whole life.

My prediction, help be out of the league in 3 years.

So you’ve got him going full JaMarcus Russell…..wow. I think he can play in this league. Unless he can’t be humbled, but I’d be surprised.

I have no problem watching the Sanders empire fail. Like at all.

I always loathed Deion bc Dallas and San Francisco. Our one year marriage just affirmed it. Guy is all about himself.

However he was SUCH AN AMAZING ALTHETE, that he could get away w his bravado. He (alone) could back it up.

But screw him and his brand. And his son can be caught up in the wash of it all.

I loved 9ers Prime Time. That was Steve Young’s Super Bowl.

Cowboys I hated….

That’s trainable. They didn’t say he was dumb. That’s why I’m shocked Prime would have his son so unprepared.

It remains to be seen if it's trainable. Not every prospect ends up being able to run an NFL offense well. His stats in college were also inflated, his throwing percentage which he brags about being a NCAA record was largely bubble screens... His downfield passing was mediocre overall. It's a big part of why so many teams passed on him for other QBs so many times. He's really going to need to change just about everything in his approach to the have if he wants to stay in the league. He's got 4QBs ahead of him on the depth chart already.

I hope it works out. Cleveland deserves some good news. Such a great football town, such a terrible organization.

That's probably one of the things that makes him a shitty mentor for a QB. You can't get by on pure physical gifts in that position. You can fake it a while if they give you a simple offense, but NFL defenses will adapt. Not saying Deion wasn't a smart player or couldn't read offenses, but there's no time for all that swagger and sideshow nonsense in a position that requires so much homework.

The great QBs never stop learning and adapting over years and years, and this kid couldn't show up for class on Day 1. Here's hoping he gets it together...

I don't get the Deion hate. Maybe I haven't read enough stories, but I've done a reversal on him over the years.

I can like and admire players on rival teams and still hate the team, though.

Is Deion an asshole in person? If a star athlete is around long enough, and in the public eye, there are always going to be stories about how he was a jerk to some dude looking for an autograph, and stiffed that waitress or whatever, just by the law of averages.

If he's not an asshole like that then what people are hating on is his entertainment persona and his confidence in himself, which doesn't seem like much to be upset about. It's part of the job for some people.
