This is exactly what I came here to say. Shedeur's drop has nothing to do with raw talent. The problem is that being an NFL QB requires a LOT more than simply being talented. Look at Jayden - humble, works insanely hard, studies intensely, and he is quite talented. If you're not willing to work hard to maximize your talent, you end up being Jamarcus Russell (or Kyle Boller, or many other examples). This article does a really good job of breaking down the slide. It's self inflicted. The best analogy is when it does that Shedeur age Deion interviewed, Step Brothers style. Teams didn't want the circus, them dictating who he would or wouldn't play for didn't help, and Shedeur didn't come off as humble enough to accept being a backup.

NFL Draft: Shedeur Sanders’s Fall to Day 3 Was Predictable and Avoidable
After the first round, we looked at how the media tore him down. After Rounds 2 and 3, it’s fair to look at his family’s approach to the predraft process.www.si.com
He is now probably best served being a UDFA and going where he wants to.
So, at this stage, it's not about whether Dillon Gabriel (using him since he was the most recent QB taken) is more talented than Shedeur but rather that you know Dillon will come in, work hard, be a team player, fit your system, and not be a distraction. You cannot say the same about Shedeur.
