Whoa whoa whoa, a mid/late 2nd? Might as well just keep him for that price. But, its Ron, so who the eff knows.
Yeah I’d cut bait for a 2nd right now. It’s not an on field production thing for me, I think Young will have a good year so long as he stays healthy. It’s a me attitude thing. Not showing to volunteer work outs, freelancing on the field and now there are real indications Young’s feelings are hurt he didn’t get the 5th year option. So if he balls out negotiations on a new contract will be Cousins like or worse. And there’s no garuntee he won’t be a diva after he gets his money. If he has another subpar year he walks for nothing. So taking a 2nd now is a hedge. But if I knew the game I’d be in it, right?

Regardless, after I found that tweet I saw others from other team blogs saying the same thing, like the Bears. So who know what the truth is. Probably just bloggers justifying their existence with clicks.

As for RR pulling a trade like this, he technically has the final say but Sheehan had someone on last week saying RR doesn’t have permission for big trades or contract negotiations until the sale is finalized. No Casserly trading for Brad Johnson moment this time. So it’s all moot.

Well if he balls out this year and becomes who we all wanted him to be, I'd franchise him until his balls fall off, like Kirk or Scherff. Keep him angry and hungry. But then if I knew the game I'd be in it too :D

You can only franchise a player twice I believe. So at some point you pay him or he walks.

Ok 3. But that’s 3 years of fully guaranteed and the entire tag amount counting to the cap. Not ideal. Especially with other drafted players due for extensions over the next 3 years.

It’s pretty unheard of after 2 I think…but worst case if he was killing it, you get 2 more prime years…

Not hearing much about out 3rd round center Stromberg. Heard a blurb on the radio he wasnt even getting 2nd team reps.

3rd rounders usually dont have year 1 starter expectations but if any position did, it would be IOL.

We took 2 IOL with the 3rd and 4th Round picks. One of them has to be a long time starter.

I think he’s behind the new FA (dude from the Giants) AND Larsen is still here. The team has won a lot of games w Larsen at C.

So, they will prob carry 3C’s, as the FA dude can also play G

Heard on the keim podcast it's better to keep him lower on the depth chart to study

Even to this day I will not call the team by their current moniker. The most I can call them is the team that plays in Washington.
I still call the Bullets the Bullets and of course the Indians will always be the Indians. I don’t care what stupid name you want to charge it to or the reason. I’m going to call the team by the name it has always been in my lifetime.

Is this new? I'm pretty certain I've heard many NFL players talk about their fantasy teams. Seems kinda stupid.

I still get a kick when I hear guys like JP Finley or Sheehan slip and call them Redskins. Unfortunately the Redskins folded a few years ago, I have very little invested in this new expansion team we have.

I just call them the ‘Skins. That was always their nickname for me growing up, and it doesn’t tromp all over peoples sensibilities.

Bullets should have never gone away, period. Wizards is on of the most useless names going, for a team from Washington. If I remember correctly, both Weber and Howard liked it. So…..yeah.

Lez Boulez…

Wasn’t that name “change” rigged from jump street? The other names were so utterly atrocious, moreso than wizards, that there was only one outcome?
