MB needs to sell the farm. I'm 100% certain this team will come up big in the playoffs. They seem too have that "it" factor. When they reach that extra gear it's seriously impressive.

Not many goalies are like Price. Other good teams have to live with less. Condon is on par with those goalies.

No he's not. He's a rookie playing like a rookie. He's stopping pucks but he's giving rebounds galore, and is VERY tentative controlling the puck. He did EXCEPTIONNALLY well for a rookie. But he's still a rookie. Nothing else. And you don't become or stay as a number one seeded team with a rookie goaltender.

Chucky was outstanding in that period. His line was the best by far, but I like the Pleks line as well. A lot of speed there. Patches was terrific.

If we get a second goal it's coming from Chucky, Patches or Subban. Our best players tonight.

DD - 13:17 TOI
Pleks - 12:42 TOI
Galchenyuk - 10:22 TOI

Your hottest center of late playing the least amount of minutes. I don't think I can handle this for however long DD is on the top line with Pacioretty.

I was almost waiting for a Washington goal. Outplaying a team badly, and not being able to pull away always leaves an uneasy feeling going forward.

Combine those factors with the final two minutes of a period, and it's an almost automatic goal for the opposition. All those last-minute goals against.....

If the Jets are out of the playoffs he should go for Ladd and Wheeler.

We've done that so many times, steal a game with our goalie, that we can't really be mad that it's happening. I guess it's some other teams time...sometimes.

This. People are quickly forgetting guys like Aebischer, 05-06 Theodore and Auld. So far Condon has looked better than any of those guys. We've also been spoiled by good backups like Halak and Budaj.

Habs are in a different mindset than during that period. They now consider themselves contenders. They are worth more than those bad goalies. And their GM should get them a more experienced vet for the time being. Because Price's absence could be longer and could be detrimental to the team's success going forward. Window is opened.

That, and I actually like Washington. If Habs don't make it, I'm pulling for the Caps.

Price's absence is kinda irrelevant to the big picture. We don't need to finish 1st overall. He'll be playing when it matters.

12:08: MTL Lars Eller (7) Wrist shot - ASST: Alex Galchenyuk (12), Tomas Plekanec (18)

Scoring play from NHL.com. I don't think I'd really call that Eller goal a wrist shot.

Hopefully that late goal doesn't deflate them. The Habs have played a very good game thus far but I think we're gonna see and much better Caps team in the 3rd.

Montreal Typical they'll get a quick one in the third and we've used up all our arrows.
I actually thought another was coming at the end of the second we were so shell shocked.
Trotz knows how to go for the jugular. Therrien not so much...
Who puts out their fourth line in a tie game late in the period in our most important game to date?
Not acceptable sorry. Flynn DSP Thomas -2

How are you blaming Therrien for that goal? It was 100% on Condon, no one else.
