Yet, that team has Barry Trotz as their head coach. Pot, meet kettle. The only difference is that this kettle has 2 ****ing Cup wins in 3 years and 3 straight Conference finals. The pot? Still searching for a glimmer of such glory.
 
Boring hockey = correct way to play hockey, not some circus where both defensemen are crashing the opposing net and the team is giving up 5-0 breaks.

I remember everyone calling NJD boring and stifling and somehow they managed to win 3 Cups with that boring play.

Now, we are the boring team.

Well,

Boring Hockey = L.A. Kings Hockey = Stanley Cup

Those Devil teams were ferocious. I admired the hell out of them. Tight, meticulous, objective-based hockey. Love it.

The Kings were such a gong show for so many years. I hated it.

If she doesn't understand that Hockey is the #1 priority... especially with the Kings fighting for their playoff life at this point, she isn't the right one.

I actually think it's awesome. You can't get into a quality restaurant without waiting two hours on a Valentine's day Saturday night. So why bother? Hockey is ****ing awesome anytime and is a great and unique option to take a date to. And Trofoli is absolutely right: if she doesn't dig it, dump her and find one that appreciates this great game!

we're boring? i'm on my 5th heart attack in 4 years
 
YEah if there's one thing we've shaken this year it has to be that 'boring' rep. 7-6 vs. Nashville says hi, as does all the game 7s last year. Anyone that still regurgitates that line is just bitter and hasn't watched since 2012.

And they weren't even watching all that close in 2012, either. LA played incredibly hockey exciting in the playoffs, even aside from the fact that we won!
