Cole isn’t a Cap yet. His big brother is playing in his first NHL playoffs, and he’s supporting him—and yes probably rooting for him to win. If the Caps take the series I’d expect him to cheer them on going forward. But I see absolutely nothing wrong here.

He’s a highly regarded Capitals draftee, pretty damn certain to be here soon.

As someone who posted about being minorly concerned about Hutson not signing with the Caps, this is such a nothing issue. Like, if he were supporting a team he rooted for as a child, that would be a tad worrisome. But he's supporting his brother. I genuinely could not care less.
(Not that it matters, but the Habs would be at the bottom of his list if he were to pick a team to play for, because he wants PP1 time.)
