It cannot be overstated how absolutely awful OV and Pacioretti were. Pacioretti will be gone (another head scratching WTF move by BM among many) but OV will be a major anchor until he retires. That goal record needs to come as quickly as possible so he retires and the team stops designing everything (including the PP) around him.

At his age, the coach needs to just be straight up with him that he's not going to be on the first line and a PP specialist. That also means no more office for him. This is not a knock on Ovy, but reality sits in at that age. Look at past stars that father time caught up with. They accepted new roles.

Isn’t he under contract for next year too

Kinda funny that the 2 Dmen we were 'missing' wound up being basically the reason we lost this one.

Jensen was horribad and Sandin with the Coup d' grace penalty at the end.

Oshie with the high stick to GA, Ovi with 5 shots in 4 games.

They looked like they had been in the playoffs for weeks....oh wait...they were.

That’s a nice little tune up series for the rangers. They get to hang out at home for 10 days

Rangers will keep winning if their powerplay continues to be that automatic

He doesn’t, clearly. Nor does he evolve his game like a lot of the greats did as they got older.
I remember reading or hearing that he came into camp and wasn’t in the best shape. Which would make sense as to why it took almost half the season for him to finally look semi decent again

I wanted to be wrong against my Leafs fans about Sandin, but now I understand what they were trying to tell me a few seasons ago. I wanted to believe he would progress with more prominent roll. He's a turnover machine with his curl n drag.

The lack of goal scoring was disgusting. Even if the Caps had prime clutch Patrick Roy in net, they still would have been swept. GOAL SCORING WAS A PROBLEM ALL SEASON LONG, AND NOTHING HAD CHANGED IN THIS SERIES.

If Carbery can't move this team in the direction of playing to win, and keep playing to lose, then I want him gone. All season we were defending far too much and not generating enough shots in games and horrible in finishing to score goals.

Lebron James always says that Father Time is undefeated.

Meh, probably playing hurt. Thought he played well during the course of the season. Rather gutsy of him to come back. More than what I can say about most of the star Leaf players.

Look I’m happy for the Hershey bears and all, they get all their dudes back but I will not be getting excited for AHL hockey. Best of luck guys!

Yeah it's unbearable listening to them. It's hard to see them end their curse with most of the ones I have to deal with. It's a toss up between them, Pens fans, and Ranger fans.

Dylan Strome was our second leading goal scorer because he had a career year. After 2nd half Ovechkin, this team had no one who could put the puck in the net.

Yep and a nearly 40 year old at that. Not many in NHL history can claim that.
