the last defenseman who put up great offensive numbers on a bad SJ team was Erik Karlsson. Given his performance in Pittsburgh this should turn out great for Edmonton

Nurse has traditionally played better with a puck mover than a defensive dman. That being said, he hasn’t played well with Bouchard but I assume Walman is a bit quicker. I don’t know what the perfect match for Nurse is.

Yes because Walman has only ever played for the Sharks... and he was dumped last summer because he's so f***ing awesome.

Yeah, his last team screwed up big time. If you are judging this guy based on work from college and previous years, maybe it's time to just admit you aren't up to date on the player.

Walman is decent for what he is, I just don't think he's the right fit for the Oilers. Someone like Oleksiak would have been a much better fit. Especially if the 1st rumors are true.

I think there is more to Emberson, it's good for the Oilers that he's reached 80 career games so he can't walk as a Group 6 UFA. He reminds me of Pachal who has been a nice surprise for us.

Emberson is the #6. He's a very good pk'er.

Great.. our bottom pair is figured out. Top 4 still has a hole at 2RD.. Kulak is not a 2RD. He is a great 3LD who can move up in a pinch. I'll go as far as to say that Ceci is a better 2RD than Kulak. Our hole remains.

What happened? I remember shortly after the trade with Detroit, Sharks and neutrals were claiming that trade was an ultimate fleece job and that Wahlman was blossoming into a true #1 DMan.

And that's what I see.

A hole at 2RD in all 3 scenarios. Kulas is not a 2RD. Walman is not a 2RD. Emberson is not a 2RD either. We do not have a 2RD. Ceci is 3rd pair on Dallas and he was ahead of Kulak when they were on the same time. We actually got weaker at 2RD no matter how much anyone likes Kulak or Walman. And I like them both! It's not their fault they are not 2RD's.
