Jojo Parker hit a homer. He has been fairly good in his last few games. The biggest weakness I have read from him at the plate is that he has been too passive.
I know there is a lot of underperformance. This isn't about a bad for bad contract it's a would you just take on the bad contract.
I mean you asked if there was hope? lol it has obviously been a shitty first half of the season....the hope is that despite the shit start, we are a game out of the playoffs. No guarantees that it does turn around...but in other years they could already be dead and buried by now.Call me weird but being on the fringe of a horrible AL doesnt inspire much confidence that we can make a run just because everyone else in our league is ass.
if we are acquiring an angels pitcher, I'd prefer Detmers over Soriano
Gleed hit a homerun tonight for New Hampshire in only his 3rd game in AAI noticed that Dub Gleed got promoted recently to AA. With the Marlins system he had limited power. His ISO since May was about .200. I know when he started off with Vancouver he had limited power so I’m assuming some tweaks with his swing or approach has helped.
Not lumping him in with the Schreck, Pinango, Valenzuela, etc. group but the Jays have been getting low ranked prospects and improving them.
Edit: just saw that Daniel Guerra is on the seven day IR

I was looking at stats the other day and the Jays system seems to have had a fairly noticeable jump in slugging for a number of prospects.I noticed that Dub Gleed got promoted recently to AA. I would guess it was deliberate on the Jays part to work out a trade with a 'far away' team rather than let him hit waivers.Sigh of relief that he doesn’t go to the Yankees or a contender to learn our staff.
Overall, it has been a great first half for the Jays' farm system. Not including injuries, the biggest disappointment has been Stanifer. Besides him, though, I can't think of any. Maybe Clase?I was looking at stats the other day and the Jays system seems to have had a fairly noticeable jump in slugging for a number of prospects.

Some good but some bad ideas
They probably want to further reduce the number of minor league affiliates.NCAA trying to strong arm themselves into the picture, and 12 rounds is far too few to fill out organizational depth needs.
