I have to give Dubas some props here.

Kampf, Kase, and Mrazek don't just look like minor add-ons. They all look like they'll have significant contributions to Toronto this season.

The biggest surprise to me is Mrazek. I had my doubts, but he looks sharp.

After that is Kase. He looks very poised. I mean he looks like you can put him on any line, and he'll have an impact.

Kampf is good and just as he's been advertised: strong, defensive, wins faceoffs, etc.

I can't wait to see more of what we have and I don't see Bunting or Ritchie being as significant as these 3. In no way am I saying that Ritchie/Bunting are bad.

Kampf should help the PK and bottom six. Kase is arguably the team's best acquisition, on the condition he can remain in the lineup. Considering they are the same age, Mrazek has significantly more GP in comparison to Campbell. Good adds - all of them.

these 3 will all serve major roles for us this year and next. yes only Kampf and Mrazek are the only 2 under contract next year, but Kase's still under our control being an RFA!

I'll be honest, I feel like I slept on the Kase signing just because I was just not convinced he could return to form pre-injury. I will say, he looks great. If he can stay healthy he can be a huge difference maker down the lineup. He is essentially a top 6 winger that would be on our 3rd line. I agree with @Buds17, he could easily be the most impactful acquisition we made this year. Although all of the new guys look really good IMO.

back to the topic at hand, I will 100% have more of a reason to watch Czech play now. We should have very good representation at the Olympics TBH.

This is my opinion, so take it with a grain of salt:

For Sures:
AM34 (USA)
Marner (CAN)
Nylander (SWE)
Kampf (CZE)
Kase (CZE)
Mrazek (CZE)
Rubins (LAT)

Semi-OK chances:
JT (CAN)
Rielly (CAN)
Micheyev (RUS)

Outside chances:
Sandin (SWE)
Muzz (CAN)

Very Outside Chances:
Campbell (USA)

Sweden has the deepest defense of all the countries. 0% chance Sandin is even considered.

Ya there really is not a lot to argue against that statement. Probably more of a very outside chance vs Outside chance. That said, it really depends on how they want to form their roster. Are Erik Karlsson and OEL really locks on their Blueline anymore? Maybe out of reputation ya, but maybe they want to experiment with more of the next wave Swedes, and put some of the guys on their off side. It would take an absolutely brilliant start of the year for Rasmus to even be considered, and likely an injury or 2 TBH. But he's likely not as far back on that list of eligible D-men than you may think

You forgot Czech mate. Perhaps Dubas decided to stop playing 3D chess and start playing Czechers against the other GMs (although I wish he would lose Jarmo's number) ;)

If they had to provide criticism about a teammate Russian their passes, would you say they Armenia about it or are nice about it?
