Defense even with Lindholm will be a lot better but still below today's standards. As far as I am concerned McAvoy is not elite and plays as such. Zadorov maybe paid too much but at least he tries and you hear his name mentioned during the game.

Top 6 forwards, 1 true finisher and a couple that show up every now and then. E. Lindholm is a complete bust.

Bottom 6 have completely dried up goal wise. 4th line cannot even provide the effort required to produce dogged forechecking and hitting when the team needs a lift. They should be able to provide positive momentum swings to turn a game around.

As far as the goaltending is concerned Swayman should be charged with robbery.

This team needs an influx of talent which cañnot happen overnight. Even in the minors they do not have any elite talent that can step right in. Trading guys like Frederick, Brazeau, Carlo etc. will not rectify the current situation management has developed. I agree, some if not all of these players may need to be traded but do not expect enough talent in return that can right this ship.

Bad 1st year in the contract for sure but the entire team other then pasta and geekie are puke this year. The head coach is a imbecile and Don should be fired for keeping him there. Detroit made a move in getting Todd and they on fire. If Don had got a coach like that we could have secured a wildcard spot.

If Sacco somehow returns as HC next year the season is over before it even starts, don't even want him back as an AC, need new blood behind the bench, new ideas, only Essensa should be back as the goalie coach. Even though Swayman has sucked this year, Essensa gets a pass.

He's been horrible all season. Agree with everything you said.

Or watching the Bruins D have no structure or idea what to do?

100% agree, need a whole new team behind the bench. Bob can stay.

It’s more than a bad first year man. The year before he wasn’t quite good either. It’s becoming more a pattern than an aberration.

Another reason why I'm scared that so many people want Pettersson on this team too. Guy looks so disengaged yet people want to trade for him.

I agree, Don, Sacco and most of the coaching staff should be shown the door. Until these changes are made we are in for a long period of mediocrity.

No one currently employed who can make meaningful decisions concerning team restructuring.

Think it was a pretty easy call, and not sure how much Monty actually made that decision.

I think a lot of the issues with Marchand’s captaincy is because of the state of the team, somewhat out of his control. Marchand is the last man standing from that great core they had, the roster has continued to get weaker, of course the team is gonna struggle with him as captain. Some things like the dumb penalties he takes is still a problem, but outside of last night I’d say he’s said all the right things.

And obviously tough to fully gauge a captain from the outside looking in but we can try

Hell no for Pettersson. He is 100% disengaged and big games he goes extremely quiet. This team has a leadership issue and adding him would exacerbate that.

You watch Lindholm and he does so many things right, I think he is still a pretty good player having a bad year like the vast majority of his teammates. I am somewhat confident that he will have a more productive year next year once we get competent coaches in and
hopefully some more talented teammates.

Pretty good is not enough when people were expecting a #1 center. 7.75 mil per could of been spent much more efficiently. Considering he was only around 40 points his prior season this was a big gamble. E. Lindholm I am afraid is on a downhill decline.

Elias Lindholm and Swayman’s contracts are not going to age very well. Poor results for elite pay should be enough for Jacobs to send Sweeney and the rest of the front office to the unemployment line

I'm retrying to wrap my head around the Wahstrom situation.

Well done, cooked, and brings really nothing since he came here. Not a once vaunted shot, not speed, not grit. The General consensus.

The Leafs game is a huge one. He's inserted into the lineup AND put on the PP. Makes the game-changing gaff of all gaffs. AND, gets only 4+ minutes of 5 on 5 ice time.

Then waivered right after the game even AFTER losing TFred.

So WHY?? HOW???
How and who inserted him into the lineup? Was the Leafs game really his REALLY last chance? Mngt/coaches were still really on the fence?

Since pre-season, it seems clear mngt and coaches are not at all on the same page and the Leafs game brought it all to a head.

Bruins beat Leafs 6-2 I think we get different result last night.
