I was speaking more in terms of functional role on the team. On any ideal cup winner (not all) I simplify it for arguments sake

First line center: Score as many goals as a line as possible.

Second line center: always playing the opposition's best. Goal is to equalize them but have the talent to control the puck and contribute offensively on the counter attack.
Third Center: just make it out alive lol. Take all the tough assignments and if you can come out even against the oppositions secondary scoring you've done your job

By my own definition I was off as well. I'd say Little is more of a middle range 2nd Center. Has the mental game the others do, just not the physical dominance the elites do.

A third is more the Kelly/Malholtra/Bolland types in my eyes

now that i can get behind, and i'd say the second is exactly what i'd call LLW. Whatever Line Kanes end up on will be the "first" line by your classification. Based on noel uses his lines, LLW takes the top lines (and outscores as you've asked) and kanes line gets the easier minutes.

Also I approve of Mr. T and "pity the fool who admires his pass." Haha yeah!!

I've always seen it as:

First line -- score, score, score, probably against the best defenders and the opponent's third line
Second line -- score, score, score, probably against less formidable defense
Third line -- defense first, responsible play, against the opponents best offense
Fourth line -- save your energy and create chaos/go 1000% when you're out there

I'm sure every team has their own variations of line philosophy.
