I met him a fourth of July weekend 2010 in a parking lot. He was going to work out and I was getting friends for a BBQ. Really really nice guy. He was much taller and bigger than I imagined (he had to be like 6'2'' or 6'3'').

I listened to the Bob Page Podcast last night while doing laundry. It's mostly Detroit themed because Bullet was really a Detroit sports guy who spent about a decade in NY but he's exactly the same. Still has that very sarcastic attitude. Same voice. It's just funny hearing him talk about modern athletes and Beyond Meat. I might shoot him an email later this week. I was a huge fan of the guy, meant a lot to my childhood. Back in the days before internet when RFAs actually were offer sheeted (Glen Wesley, Brendan Shannahan, Adam Graves, Scott Stevens, and even later with Sakic and Fedorov) he always had the scoop. I remember the summer of 91 I was very young, the Flyers stunk, and Richter was an RFA. I was terrified they were going to offer sheet him. Page would often just say things were status quo.

Oh my God that was awesome. SportsDesk was great, killing it was the first sign that Cocaine Jimmy (and when I see the Knicks in Philly I'm bringing a giant "Cocaine Jimmy" banner and attempt to get Embiid to pose with it) was going to turn MSG Network into crap.
