The third of three sons of former NHL'er Derek Plante. Victor was tied for the lead at the WHC in points (whole tournament, not just on his own team). I thought the play didn't exactly align with the totals, but Max a little bit of the same way where he gets a lot of empty points through good teamwork, passing, puck moving, and hockey sense. He's similar to Max with a little more interior play. I don't think he has the same level of passing. They are probably similar level players overall. Both look considerably better than Zam. Victor is already 5'9. I think Max was like 5'7 or 5'8 when he first got to the NTDP, so a little taller. Max went second round, and I don't think many expected it. I think Victor is probably provisionally a second rounder. Higher than what was expected of Max. Could always change. Committed to UMD.

Hasn't impressed me that much as the season has went on. Blends in too much for a smaller winger, and he's not uber skilled or that great of a skater. I think he's trending towards similar to Max, but not as good playmaking or hockey sense or as good of a skater. But a little taller. Similar though in the draft range (I would probably say a little lower for me right now), the offensive upside, and what he's generally good and bad at.
