Will debut for Frölunda in the SHL today. Youngest person to do so for Frölunda. Playing on their 4th line.

For some context the whole J20 team is away playing in Luleå making the older juniors unavailable for the men's team.
Still cool that he breaks that record. Frölunda is bringing 12 forwards and 8 d-men to tonight's game so he should see some ice time.
Ranked 10 in a very early ranking for the 2022 draft.

Lysell, or Dower Nilsson could've been other choices, but neither played J18 nor J20(looks like all their loaned players are back now sadly) today so they could be injured/ill?

That's my guess as well. Persson is in because Hjalmarsson, Carlsson and Peterson are out. Maybe Frölundaborg is infected with something.

Playing in 4 Nations U20 against Slovakia. 2 goals already, looks like one of the best players on the ice for sure. Got powerplay time and he's been working behind the net on it. Competition isn't that strong but this guy's doing it all. Compared to the viewings I had of him in SHL this is much more projectable, tools and awareness.

Loaned to IPK in Mestis (Finnish second tier league). Seems like a very strange move. Is Persson not good enough to get a contract in Allsvenskan or Liiga? Mestis is a pretty bad league. It's not a place where an NHL prospect should still be playing in their D+2 season. Maybe if he plays good enough he could get a Liiga contract.

In my opinion, one of the best players that MESTIS has seen. Looks for a pass rather than a shot, but if necessary the shot goes hard. He has a good two-way game.. Seems very determined. He is also a great guy outside the field, plays with the children on the outdoor ice.

Not very impressed with Persson in Liiga. Good skater, but offense is underwhelming. 2 even strength points in 17 games. I don't see a future NHL player.
