After a scoreless first three games, sennecke has nine goals and 14 points in the next seven. Just needed some time to get his timing after the broken foot took his training camp.

He’s going to be an interesting prospect to follow, all sorts of potential on him

This kid's ceiling is insane, but he also feels like one of the riskiest top prospects I've seen in a while, and it's hard to put my finger on why...

Does anyone else get Max Afinogenov vibes in terms of the way he moves and creates space? Sennecke is obviously bigger and more physical, but the way he cuts and slices around defenders is really similar.

I agree with 1st part. Vaguely remember afinogenov , but not enough to put up a valid comparison to sennecke.

I don’t really know who a good comp for sennecke is stylistically

Stylistically he reminds me of Drake Batherson.

Both 6'3 wingers with the high-end skillset of a small forward, which is what both of them were prior to a major growth spurt.

He skates better than Batherson so I think his ceiling is a bit higher.

Watched his game closely today. Still raw in some areas but he's really the full package tools wise. Rare you can get the size, the smarts, the skills, and the compete all in one forward. Was as surprised as anybody he went 3rd overall but I think I had him in that top 12 group around Catton and Iginla. Going to be a handful on the boards when he fills out.

That's a bit of a deep cut  He does have those same 1-2 combo handles and attacks the middle similar. Not really super deceptive but can make moves into the open area at speed. Don't remember Afinogenov all that well but from what I do he was a bit more of a 1 man show than Sennecke. Don't really have a great player comp but a lot of time watching him kind of makes me think a bigger Travis Konecny.
