Alexander Zharovsky is easily one of the most skilled Russians this year, arguably the best puck handling, great shot, strong playmaking habits, and a physical edge. As an MHL rookie in the weakest division, he is very raw, but looks like a top-64 prospect to me.

I just logged my first isolated viewing of him and wow, he's impressive. I'll watch more for sure, but my first impression is that he's a very dynamic and crafty dual-threat with some 200' elements to his game (finishes his checks, good stickwork, good intensity). His shot looks legit, he is creative, seems to have good awareness, and he is not scared of using the middle lane.

He might rise a lot, considering it is not a very deep class.

Never played in the U18 league, went straight from U17 to the NMHL which is not usual at all for a promising prospect. I had no idea who he was until preseason, so definitely was flying under all sorts of radars.

Strength of schedule remains the same throughout most of the season, he had his toughest run of games from Nov. 11 to Dec. 27 where he played against Gold Division teams 8 times, picking up points in 7 of those 8. He is producing very well against Silver Division teams, but is also averaging a point per game against Gold teams. Slower start just comes down to lack of experience in the league and slightly more limited usage.

11 of those 13 in 5 were against the 7th and 8th placed teams in Ufa’s division, so looking at the production is a bit tough to understand. However, he absolutely looks a cut above the rest of the players around him regardless of who he’s up against. Not sure there’s been a more impactful draft eligible in Russia.

It’s weird at this point but when it comes to the Russian-based prospects, I find the good posters here like @dyldude an infinitely better resource than most of the “lists”.

I have him at 35 and The Puck Bunker at 31. Eliteprospects have him at 58.

He's got good numbers, 20 points in last 20 games.

Was cold to start the season, i guess he was getting used to the new team and new league. But he has been very hot for the last couple of months. I was hyped by his stats and went to an MHL game to see him in action. What I can tell is: kid definitely can play. He's the one to enter the zone with a puck everytime when his line's on the ice. And he's doing it well, he's not just throwing the puck deep into the zone like many do, but dribbling into the o-zone and finding partners there. He's the guy who generates the majority of scoring chances. He's not shy to carry the puck into high danger areas. Overall, I was very satisfied by what he showed on the ice. I think he'll get KHL playing time next season, but maybe they'll put him into VHL first tho. He was never hyped and was out of the radar, but looks like a kid who might grow into a really good player (hope he's out of Rotenberg's radar)
