*sigh*

Yup. This doesn't surprise me.

Depressing? Sure. Surprising? Nah.

Hopefully it turns out to be just precautionary.

Bortuzzo makes sense, since I believe he and Beau are roommates.

I'm starting to get nervous for myself since I saw Beau, Bort, and Maatta out one night.

Will the Pens be the first NHL organization to have the entire line up consist of only AHL players?

Stay tuned, folks. Same bat time. Same bat channel.

Well, also on the bright side, Bort and Määttä were already out of the lineup ... although if all three wind up with mumps maybe the NHL should reschedule the next two games, since they're at CEC.

This is getting pretty crazy - wonder if they cancel games if more folks starting showing symptoms..

It would be so Penguins if we were the only team that fails to contain the outbreak and end up with a dozen or so infected players instead of just one or two.

I wonder how many plays we could lose to injury/mumps before they'd cancel a game.

Looking to the dark side of things ... it takes 2-3 weeks for mumps to develop, so everyone that's sick now would have been infected at roughly the same time. So, it's possible we might go through this again in another 2-3 weeks

You knew it wouldn't be just a one player on our team getting the mumps. This will surely become the mother of all mumps outbreaks. Hopefully no one dies.

I hate to even say it out loud but with the Penguins luck combined with the fact that mumps has a much higher chance of causing complications the older you are... eh...

I just wonder if Madden will think it's not such a big deal if that happens. Especially now that his BFF Fleury is potentially in the crosshairs.

The photos from the Children's hospital visit show all three of them in gowns and gloves (but no masks), indicating that they were visiting kids who needed extra infection control measures.

This could get very bad.
