Pretty quiet night on the farm otherwise. No wins, three losses. No big standouts with the sticks.

Happy to keep Vladdy but here to say how grossly overpaid baseball players and how underpaid hockey players are compared to other athletes.

If I could have picked a path for my sons, they would never be pro hockey players and would be pro baseball players: you make stupid money, no one hits you, being in shape is optional, and if you fail 70% of the time you are considered at the top of your game..

Middling day on the farm.

Bisons put up some numbers. Signs of life from OMart with a HR and walk. jClase with a 2b and 2bb. Homers for Riley Tirotta and Rainer Nunez. SP Lazaro Estrada struggled, but some good pen performances from Schulz, Gowdy and Dillon Tate.
AA NH got a decent start from Rafael Sanchez and strong pen performance from Jon Lavalee to manage the win. HR for C Robert Brooks. McAdoo 2-4 with a 2b and sb. Offence has been light overall.
A+ VAN took it on the chin. Rough start for JWentworth. Sean Keys hit a bomb. Victor Arias 2-4 with a 2b and sb.
A DUN with a loss. No real standouts. Daniel Guerra did k 6 in 4. Organizational guy Bryce Arnold led the offence.

The take a college arm in the 2nd hasn't worked out much for us lately with CJ Van Eyk and Juaron Watts-Brown. Perhaps all we needed to do was take a guy with 2 first names instead of 2 last names

It is such an awesome feeling when you look back and get to say you watched that guy's entire career from his first AB up until his retirement press conference. Got to do it a couple times as a Bruins fan so trust me on this.

Without a title somewhere in there, it is gut wrenching. Fingers crossed.

Another middling day on the farm yesterday.
Bisons lost both ends of a double header. Barger went yard. jClase 1-4 with 2bb over two.
A DUN got hammered. Noah Cates got smacked around. Manuel Beltre had 3 hits. Same umpire as the other night….23 walks called.
A+ VAN was the bright light, winning 9-3. Pinto and Nimmala both had a HR and SB. Aaron Parker starting to rip, 2 hits with a 2b. JWB with a fine start with 6k in 4.2ip, presumably hitting his pitch count.

Clase hitting .400 with more walks than Ks is certainly an encouraging development, especially considering high swing-and-miss was considered his biggest issue.

Pretty much everything else in Buffalo has been bad so far.

They have had so many cancelled games which might be a factor.

I was coming to post this but will add it to this, Nimmala is off to a great start. K rate is lower than last year and he’s hitting very well including the power.

Good results from the farm today, sweeping the comp.
AAA Bullpen day. Andrew Bash got the W with 3 strong innings. Joey Loperfido 3-4 with a 2b - and now has the same OPS as AB. Adventure on the bases for JClase, picked off once and caught stealing. Bethancourt and Robertson with fingers.
A+ VAN in a rout. Eddie Micheletti finished a good w/e for him hitting a bomb. Jay Harry (from the Twins last deadline) is off to a hot start, and went 2-3 with a ab, bb and 2b. Only 22, could have a future as a utility guy. Nimmala 2-5 with a 2b. Bullpen start here too. LHP O’Halloran was solid.
A DUN in a rout too. Starter Trey Yesavage was sharp, 4ip, 3h and 4k’s. Followed by Gage Stanifer’s strong 4ip, 1er, 4bb+h and 7k’s. Offensive damage was mostly organizational guys, but Manuel Beltre had another pair of knocks and sits with a .957ops.
