Here's why the Vladdy signing is important. A lot of us were saying it was difficult for the Jays to sign guys in the offseason because Vladdy and Bo weren't signed. They have one of them signed now.
People keep on saying this… the jays offered him multiple extensions before this offseason.Only a minor overpay of about 150million. Yikes, I think I would have rather moved him than lock this contract in. Wow, shatkins cost Rogers at least an extra 100m with how they squandered this extension.

Yeah, there's reason to believe that both the Red Sox and Yankees were operating as if they planned on making a serious run at Vlad. Boston stuck with Casas and the Yankees addressed a huge hole with a one-year buy-low on a 37-year-old coming off a terrible season. Even the Mets were hesitant to go more than a couple years with Alonso. It’s a big signing especially when you look at who the Red Sox have at first base. I don’t know if Vlad has what it takes to play in Boston or would want to play in the shadow of Big Papi, but it was available for him.
This, and also..It's f***ing Rogers. Who gives a shit they lost some extra money lmao. About time they do something with all that money they get by banging people on their phone bills.People keep on saying this… the jays offered him multiple extensions before this offseason.
I love that when this deal expires my boys will have turned legal drinking age![]()
Leave him where he is now,he looks very content there. We're getting close to the point where we consider Springer leading off again
FWIW, the only players with a sub 330 OBP on the roster right now are Clement, Lukes, Schneider and KirkLeave him where he is now,he looks very content there.
But knowing Schneider, that’s probably what he’s thinking.
And he’s the last person you want to start thinking.
All of those players should not be on an mlb team. Maybe one could argue for kirk but he is abysmal with the bat, slowest player in the league and extremely out of shape.FWIW, the only players with a sub 330 OBP on the roster right now are Clement, Lukes, Schneider and Kirk
Blair and Barker ripping the top 3 and I love it because it’s 100% deserved.
Same but could easily be 9-2 if those guys did anything at all. They are 6-5 with none of the big 3 hitting for lots of power yet? I will take it.
With 4 of those games being in weather that is not conductive to power hitting no less. They are 6-5 with none of the big 3 hitting for lots of power yet? I will take it.

Octavio Dotel was among those in the Santo Domingo nightclub when the roof collapsed just after midnight, leaving at least another 160 injured.
Dunedin has 16 runs and only 6 hits!
I saw a few pitches on the gameday tracker, and it seems the ump has a pretty strict strike zone.I was gonna criticize Yesavage for walking the bases loaded in the 1st(which then led to 2 unearned runs). But when the other team has walked 15 in 4 innings perhaps the conditions are poor for the pitchers. Yesavage has been good after the 1st.
