Vitali Kravtsov ¯ _ ツ _ ¯

In his last season in the KHL with St. Petersburg, Andrei Kuzmenko had 20 goals and 33 assists. And the Canucks got at least good season out of him after he signed.

Kravtsov's KHL numbers are far better--so I suppose anything is possible.

How long do we hold his rights?

I remember him as one of the softest players to ever wear the orca, so unless he's evolved his mentality significantly, I can't imagine he'll fit into Tocchet's system. Maybe we can trade his rights to a team with more Russians in their core group?

Although it was only a brief appearance at the end of another lackluster season in 2022-23, I don't recall Kravtsov being a 'soft' player at all. In fact he was pretty physical down low in the offensive zone and along the wall.

The problem at times was his defensive awareness, and the fact that offensively his confidence was complete shot. But I suppose that would be understandable given his deployment or lack of it in New York.

Said it before, but bears repeating. If the Canucks were willing to roll the dice with guys like Heinen and Sprong, how much of a 'risk' would it be bringing back Kravtsov?
