Visnovsky Drama Part III (Mod Warning Post #575)

I said in the summer he would probably make people say, "Mark Who?"

If for just that reason I am glad he is here - show us what we have been calling a #1 D. What a joke.

At the game last night, there were a few boos the first time he touched the puck but the guys up in Loudville and 330, started a Lubo chant and drowned them out within a few moments..I did not hear anything negative towards him the rest of the game, and assume that all will be forgotten as long as he continues to play like last night. I thought he played hard and pretty well last night (one bad turnover but that was an exception in what was a good first game after a layoff)...happy to have him...
I think he and Strait had a couple of hicups in the defensive zone but that's to be expected. Lubo hasn't played in almost a month and Strait will have to get use to a new partner.

The way I see it is, LUbo came to Long Island because he knows he only has to be here 6 weeks before Wang salivates at the thought of trading him for a 2nd round pick, and replacing him with a AHL defensmen making 600K. This wont even depend on the Isles being in a playoff race or not as they did this exact trade about 5 years ago in november I think it was for that defensmen from buffalo we traded to to the flyers for a Borderline AHL defensmen making 600K to save wang some money. In Wangs eyes, ANy chance to save some money so Wang can continue to own a NHL team instead of selling to someone else and having no chance to hang out with young NHL guys(that would have nothing to do with him otherwise) is something Wang will allways do.

Slovan just clinched the KHL play-offs with 2 games left in the regular season. Lubo was one of the most important reasons. I hope he can do the same for you now.

Doesn't look good for the Isles now, but I think Slovan was in a similar non-playoff spot before Lubo joined it, so...

Lubo suiting up for the Islanders immediately showed us what a well rounded, quality, puck moving Dman looks like. As a fan, I am not sure if that is a good or a bad thing. :sarcasm:

Good points. I'd been uneasy about Streit, not wanting to sign an extension this summer. But, his play has been so erractic that I've cooled on his possible return.

I wish Vis were a few yrs younger and signed for another yr.

Was it Zhitnik to Philly for Freddy Meyer .then Philly trades Zhitnik to Atlanta for Brayden Coburn.
