Hi guys. We want to visit LA+ Anaheim in March and was wondering if you have any tips in which area is good to stay safely. Also what is the best way to get from LA to ANA - bus/ train/ car rental? Will be our first time in California, looking forward to the visit. Thanks in advance!
100% absolutely rent a car or take an Uber. do not take public transit
If you rent a car. do not leave valuables in your rental car in LA

Your orange county beach cities will be the safest, but also your most expensive. (Newport, Huntington, Laguna)

If you mention what you are doing we can be more helpful.

There’s also Flixbus if going a long distance (50-150+ miles). I’ve used it for OC to San Diego and back. But it goes all up & down California.

The plan is to arrive on Fiday afternoon (Mar 28), chill, sightsee. Saturday morning chill, maybe sightsee, then it is the 1st game in LA, then Sundnay morning go to Anaheim, catch the game there. Monday morning go back to LA, flight back.

So a rental car is a must.
Santa Monica used to a must see, but dont go.
In LA , the Getty Museum is a week and Universal Studios is a lot of fun.

The beaches in OC will be a little cool, but you should still see them

It depends on the time of the game.
If the Anaheimgame is on Saturday or Sunday earlier in the day, the train might work. The Orange line is $10 round trip all day.
I don’t know the cost of the Pacific Surfliner.
Both are fairly safe. I make no promises on the others. It might even be quicker than driving and parking on a weekend. Google maps will give you times and costs.

Not sure if this is the best place to ask but will be following the Caps on their CA trip in March, and I'm looking for tickets at for the LA game now. Any suggestions on what seats to get / anything weird about Crypto I should know? I'm definitely splurging on this trip so as long as they're not on the glass price probably wouldn't be an issue

The 100 section doesn't have the best views. You are better in the 200s The "PR" seats are cool because you have waiter/waitress service

Bottle service?
Premier Seats

  • Located above the 100 level sections, these seats are on the sides of the arena and offer a great view
  • In-seat food and beverage service, including beer, wine, and liquor
  • Access to the San Manuel Club on the suite level
