OT: Video Game Thread Part VII

  • Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. A year ago my wife bought me the ps4 version of Tony hawk pro skater 1+2. I haven’t had time to play nearly anything until this week. Low and behold ps+ released the same game the same day I opened my game. Assholes.
I’ve been reliving my teenage years very fondly up until tonight. I forgot how bastardly some of them the medal challenges were. I get a 90, f***ing leticia gets a 92. I get a 90, (I can’t remember his name) gets a 91. If your not pulling 200k points with little bails you cannot win. Pain in the balls those are. Yet I f***ing love those two games.
I’ve 100% the second game, 75% the first.
I have no idea why I never played the 3rd game or anything last that. The rumored 3+(Whatever) game has been canceled for some reason which blows big time.
(I never could get into SKATE. Something to do with the control scheme probably)

It's hilarious to go back and do old challenges in old games and wonder how in the hell we ever did them the first time around

I’ve never beaten the legend of Zelda. When I was a kid I managed to convince my dad to call the Nintendo power hotline to learn how to get past the woods to get (insert real knowledge here) the last set of “armor” to be able to fight Gannon. I made it all the way up to the :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:er and got two of the three hits to kill him and during the fight my cousin from California came over. I had to let him play, aka he got the final hit on Gannon and beat the game in under a minute. I haven’t hated a person or a state harder since.

I don't play Versus or HUT much anymore but the PP positioning is something I screamed for for years.

how's Madden? its free to play this weekend but would i just be wasting my time? lol
 
I’m fixing to start up a new character on d2, a Druid. I’m not positive if that’s a standard character or dlc that I might not have, I haven’t been on it in a long time.
Is a Druid build around werewolf shape shift viable? Fun?

What’s arguably the most fun build to play that doesn’t need hours of prep to have it running somewhat decently?

I've been sucked into an XCOM 2 vortex again these past few weeks. I hadn't played WOTC so figured I'd give it a go with all expansions / DLC in place.

Familiar pain is all coming back. The Chosen are something else. Not sure who's worse - Chosen or Alien Rulers. Makes it extra special to hit them with Rupture or skewer them with the katana.

Best tactical turn-based game out there.

I don't know how you would rank fun because you just run around and everything dies, but a hurricane druid is pretty easy. Melee builds are so gear dependent but caster builds are strong even with bad gear and there is plenty of low level caster rune words you can make.
