@S E P H I completely forgot about the PSP, Vita games, and the MGS5 demo called Ground Zeros. Unlike other demos, Ground Zeros is actually a little preview game to MGS5 that's completely cannon, and you should play that before 5. "Portable Ops" and "Peace Walker", both of these games, are cannon. They're fun games, especially Peace Walker, but are very different from the mainline series. They feel very much like a mobile game in the way the missions are set up, and can be kinda grindy. So you might want to watch a summery video on those as well. They both slot in after MGS3 chronology, but release wise it's MGS3, Portable Ops, MGS4, Peace Walker, Ground Zeros, MGS5.

And if we're talking games that are cannon story wise. There's also Revengeance and Acid. I never played Acid. It's a turn based card game that takes place after 4. Revengence is the game furthest in the series and is an action slasher made by Platinum games, but with Kojima's involvement. It's off the rails crazy and very hilarious. This game can be enjoyed anytime after 4. It's cannon and takes place pretty far in the future, but they never really reference what happened in the other games, other than 2 and 4.

I never had a PSP or Vita, not sure if it's worth it at this point in time. Like are the prices good or have they gone crazy higher such as wanting to buy a Nintendo 3Ds? You can tell me what your thoughts concerning that are if you want.

Didn't MGS also have that game you'd cut watermelon as well? Not sure if you talked about it yet or if it is a game like Revengence.

Portable ops is only available on the PSP, and I have no idea how costly umds and PSP are nowadays. I would suggest emulating it on a PC. Peace Walker was ported to the PS3 and Xbox 360. The best way to play that would be on Xbox with backwards compatibility. However, there a high likelihood that those games will be released on PC soon in the MGS collection volume 2.

And the watermelon cutting game is Revengence. At first it was a tech demo to show off the capabilities of Kojima's new game engine, but people like the demo so much, it eventually evolved into Revengence.

Working on my backlog atm, bless Moguri Mod because I might have KMS with how slow battles are in FFIX at normal speed.

I've always meant to play FFIX. That mod sounds awesome. I bookmarked that site for when I finally decide to play.

I keep hearing rumors that theres a FFIX remake in development, but if it's handled like the FF7 one..... It's definitely better to play the original, or at least play the original before the remake.

KCD2 is 🔥

A similar experience in a fantasy setting would so f***ing great. No real reason why you couldn't make one from GoT for example and it would print money, they just don't.
