I constantly - for years - gave Moser the benefit of the doubt because of seats in the rafters or bad local video feeds. However, Ryker has proven to be incredibly perceptive, wiping out much of my generosity. Moser DOES NOT call the game. He calls A game, but it frequently bears no relationship to what is happening on the ice. Making things worse, after a clear error, he will spend 60+ seconds trying to explain away something he said which was miles off base. This happens at least once per period, and frequently far more. I'm with
@Pokecheque about putting Ryker and McGahey together. The only problem with that is Moser's frequent errors would confuse the hell out of people listening to radio. On TV, I have the luxury of seeing what is ACTUALLY happening.
On a related note, I need you guys to clarify something from the Calgary game. I was watching the Altitude feed. As it turns out, with 51 seconds left in the game, Kadri got a 10 minute game misconduct. I do not recall any mention of this on the live TV feed or the immediate aftermath. Was I asleep at the wheel, or was it Moser?
