Didn't see that elsewhere, that's something else, the kind of situation I hope will happen the 'right way' in the near future, kids growing together in the team.

The reason why especially is because they have to share a hotel room on the road because they are on an ECL which forces them to spend a lot of time together.

I'm sorry but he looks better than PK did at the same age. Not saying he'll be as good but I can't believe how underrated he is. No way I think Juulsen's the better young player. He's like a 4th forward out there. Best is yet to come. If he works on his shot than he's a first pairing D no question. Even without it he creates so much.

Watching mete play defense is such a pleasure. He is legitamtley very good at playing defense, whether the offense comes or not, he is good enough to survive without it.

I feel like the flood gates will open when he scores his 1st goal and he'll finish the season with 2.

Like Riley Sheahan a few years ago? 80 straight games without a goal and then two goals in the same game. Too bad the season ended there lol.

Seriously though, Mete has a poor shot but he's had a few good looks because he knows when to join the rush. It's getting pretty ridiculous that he still hasn't scored.

Honestly to me he's cemented himself as Webers partner. Even if he doesn't put up points his skating is such a weapon. He's taken the next step that I was hoping to see this season and he continues to get more confident.

1st bolded explains the 2nd.

he had enough chances already that with a below average shot he'd had a few already. Shot is just soooo bad.

Literally anyone can score from some of the chances he's had. He's having really bad luck. But yes, shooting ability matters as well.

I kind of hope Mete's 1st goal happens against Toronto in Game 7 Overtime. Would be the best thing ever.

He's excellent at pretty much every aspect of the game except I've seen a better shot in atom house league.

Seriously though. Work on that and he'll be a star in the league. He can be better than Krug if he does that.

I've said it so many times, but its still pretty much relevant:

Habs need to hire a shooting coach (or at least a specialist, former sniper whatever). And have some of our guys work a little extra on that aspect of their game.

Real talk, even if I wished they'd let him work a little longer with Bouchard, you can tell the stint has helped his game. He's playing with alot more confidence.

Yeah I thought it was silly they brought him back early because I was thrilled he was going to Laval.

But man I'm just shocked at how underrated he is just because he can't score a goal.

I'm going to go out on a HUGE limb but I think if he can get significantly stronger and develop at least a passable shot he can be a #1. I was just beyond impressed with what he was creating out there.

The more I see out of our young D/D prospects I think he's the best and I like Brook and Romanov a lot. I like Juulsen but I have no idea why some have him a head of Mete. If he plays like he did last night with any reasonable amount of consistency then we're talking an Elite D man here. Maybe Brook and/or Romanov can be better but it's not self evident to me. And my god if they can then our future Blue line is looking pretty great.

Mete came soooo close yesterday a few times. Hes so poised too. When domi connected cross crease with mete.. Mete could have shot but fed the man in the slot. What a player. I think hes finnaly starting to work on his offence now that his defensive confidence has taken off. Mete you can do it againzt toronto! We all believe in you!

As an 18 year-old, he scored 15 goals in 50 games for London in the OHL, he can score, he just needs a bit of puck luck and Shaw not to interfere with the goalie to get the first one and then get in going.

on one of the shots I saw last night I'm surprised that it actually had a bit of zip in it. Nothing incredible but good for him. I think it's something that can be improved. If he can get it to a workable level then he's going to be absolutely dynamite.
