Since both him and Stamkos were drafted one year apart and they both went straight to the NHL, my quick math tells me Stamkos only missed 50 ish more regular season games in his career than Hedman, which I was a bit surprised by. I guess Hedman never had any high profile injuries like Stamkos so I don't really remember them.

The Leafs really might be cursed. For as long as they've been around, it's insane to me how low most of their franchise records are. Matthews will likely be their all time best goalscorer in his early 30s.

Hedman lists Borje Salming as one of his favorite Swedish defensemen growing up. Heddy only needs 15 more points to tie Salming with 787 points - Top 20 all time by a NHL dman

Agree on your observations about the games. But you might have a different opinion about being opposed to the tournament if Point were to get injured.

Not really, that whole rhetoric is stupid. He could get injured in any other game he plays as well? If you asked Point or anyone else selected would they rather be playing this week or sitting? Pretty sure the answers obvious, like I said, players are enjoying it, fans are getting good hockey the only reason you're against are selfish ones.
