Patience brings great things.Tell me how you know? I didnt say he could or couldnt have, you said he could have if he waited.
Agree to disagree on that.Maybe he's part of the problem?
Patience brings great things.
oh ok, got it.Patience brings great things.
it could turn into penicillin or something, so he is actually still right. It can, but man, if you miss that window on expirable things, tell me, how good is out dated milk? Just curious
Rob Blake has quietly done an excellent job as GM of the Kings...
At lease get the Devils 2nd rounder.
Patience brings great things.
Actually it's part of the business to maximize your assets return, not bad business to do so.Blake has always been afraid to be a risk taker.Martinez had another year left,no risk and no loss to wait for a better return.
I think your expectations is a bit high especially with the Kings not retaining on Martinez, which leaves Vegas to fight the salary cap on their own.
You have to think either Vegas didnt want retention to keep the cost down, or he may have another deal lined up to retain on someone else. Who knows.i think that is part of why this deal underwhelms me. I was hoping LA would maximize the return by retaining on Martniez. If they were doing this it would be more than 2 2nds.
Without retention this is perfectly fair.
That’s what people who don’t do deals for a living when there are deadlines, depreciating assets and multiple offers involved say. Timing works both ways. When you set a floor and a ceiling and the target is met, you pull the trigger.
You run equal sides of the patience and aggression tracks or you end up with the “I hate always losing,” look on your face.
The Kings' handsomeness quotient just dropped 25-30 points, unfortunately.
Now he's the most handsome one on the Knights. No one can compete with that. The Kings' handsomeness quotient just dropped 25-30 points, unfortunately.
this is very true.
If Carter does get moved look out
You know how many times of I've shot myself in the foot waiting out for a "better deal" it's frustrating as hell.
According to Kopitar Carter is too old to compete in that race.this is very true.
