Damn, he got an NHL contract. Good for you Mr. Pearson. Surprising, but good for you.

Edit: Remember when Jim Benning signed this guy to a 3 year, 3.25m deal in (February?) with the tactic of forcing Quinn Hughes and EP40 to shorter term contracts, thereby costing the team in the future? "Ya this is what we got, had to sign Tanner y'know, he's a core guy and Bo likes him, so you guys split this remaining 15 mil and figure it out y'know"

FU Benning.

Just had to sign goddamn f***ing Tanner Pearson and cost the team an extra 2m AAV on Pete for 8 years.

Good for him. He's been strong in Vegas this preseason. The team is desperately lacking depth of any kind so if he can be just 25% of what he once was that's miles better than most of what they have in the bottom line.

He started off well the first couple weeks in Montreal then really fell off.

He seems like a well liked teammate though so on a dirt cheap contract he's not a bad option to have as a 13th-14th forward who can fill in occasionally as needed.

He’s had a good camp. Good for him because I thought he might have been damaged goods, but he’s thrown his body around and played a smart game.

Glad he's still able to stick around. He was never the same after the gnarly broken leg. But heady, if vanilla, player who will always give an honest effort till his body won't let him.
