Confirmed Trade: [VGK/CGY/PHI] Noah Hanifin (75% retained), Mikhail Vorobyov to VGK; 2026 1st , 2025 cond. 3rd, Daniil Miromanov to CGY; 2024 5th to PHI

Just change the way LTIR works already lmao, gonna be fun seeing them go 10M over the cap in the playoffs again!

They should just cap it at maximum $4-5 million saved. That's enough to have 4-5 replacements from the farm and if you have more than that, you're not making the playoffs regardless.

Everybody else has to worry about cap ramifications while Vegas can just collect whichever player they choose and just stack like $90-$100m cap teams. I don't even blame them, the league continues to enable this garbage so they're just taking advantage of what the league allows them. I'm sure they'll just casually add Buchnevich or/and? Guentzel because....why the hell not.

Don't know who this, could be bullcrap but .....

Ah yeah, love the cap circumvention wonder what the return is. Flames trade their #1D to a division rival to face him for the next 8 years is crazy

You'd assume given Hanifin hinted he wanted to not be out west the return could not be all that good. VGK had to use the UFA status as leverage obviously but feel the value was further lowered given the whole world seemed to feel he was going to FL or TB this summer
