No, because Lundqvist is getting up there in age, they have a huge portion of their cap strung up to some very bad players (Staal and Girardi definitely, Nash depending on how I feel that day), they're not strong on defense and they have an extremely weak prospect pool.

Likely a kid line w his buddy Hayes and buchnevich but they may spread out 3 lines . Nash , Miller , kreider , zuccarello , Stepan, zibanajed

Yeah it would have made sense in 2014 when Hayes signed, but right now? Their future isn't looking too great after they have bled picks and prospects over the years and have numerous horrid contracts with a heavily declining roster.

Hes best friends with Hayes. Familiar with the team FO. Closest team to home not named Bruins. And dosnt have to put up with home distractions.

I wish the kid well. The Rangers got themselves a solid kid.
