Guys, the rule is NOT that the principal point of contact cannot be the head. The rule IS that the head cannot be the principal point of contact UNLESS the hitter is going right through the body. Reaves didn’t catch Nurse’s body much at all, Whitecloud just caught Knies square.
the slow motion replay from behind Knies shows that Whitecloud is driving upwards before he hits Knies. You can see his weight coming up in his skates, but he’s not jumping. If there’s any supplemental discipline it will be that he mistimed this explosive movement which made the head contact more severe.
But honestly, I still think this is a good hit.
