Why not try Laine in the top line?
Laine is actually getting the most sheltered minutes on the team, while Slaf and the 1st line face the highest quality of opposition.

You can't exactly swap them without swapping the 1st line role as well and that means swapping every other lines to play in different chair they aren't necessary suited for. It's the same thing as with the Ds, when Struble get inserted, it screw over the other two pairings because they need to take minutes they do not usually take.

Typical habs eh.........get on a roll by beating good teams, and lose to one of the bottom feeders who were embarassed just a couple of days ago.........it was a recipe for disaster.
Damn...................we could be 1 pt from da playoff right now.

Tonight the Avs...........tough test let's hope the team in Florida shows up tonight!!

I suspect both Laine & Savard were kept out to rest them for Avs game. Expecting a very different team & game vs Col tonight
