Commentary during that game from the Chicago cast: They noticed that during our latest victory streak, shifts were kept short and everyone pushed in one direction taking their fare share. Take Laine out of the lineup and then suddenly shifts stretch, Pezz barely plays and they lose against the worst club in the league.

So yeah: Idiot coach.

Are you listening to Darren pang?

No one cares
I feel the same. I'm more sad than mad. It's a tough one to lose, especially if we lose again tomorrow.

Laine and Savy were missed tonight and I guess they won't play tomorrow either.

Just when I was excited to watch the team play again.
We didn’t play like we had something to prove tonight. Hockey is so unpredictable, any team can beat you no matter what the standings are. We needed that game but only a few played a strong game.

Our D deployment was a joke and I called it before the game.
Matheson with 28 minutes and Xhekaj with 9 minutes it's actually 1 minute less than I thought.
Not to mention Struble was lost more often than not.
Struble and Pezzetta were rusty to be mild. Laine and Savard would have helped tonight.

Pezzzeta is garbage. Already have enough wastes like Anderson in the lineup taking minutes.

Maybe they need a new shooting coach. Guy forgot to tell him some important pointers like: Shoot the puck. Not on legs. Get the shot off you’re not starting a lawnmower. Practice your shot again after this lesson.
I noticed his bad shot release , especially when he has to act fast. Then I realized that it's every aspect of his game that seem too slow. Basically , right now, it's going too fast for Slaf. Is he thinking too much on the ice ? Maybe. He's pretty lost right now.

Crazy how contingent everything is on having actual NHL'ers on the D pairings.

Savard was missed. Xhekaj's ice time took a hit with 7 penalty minutes as well.

Yeah that would be Rick ball and Darren pang.

Ball is a pro. Panger once said subban needs be playing the white way. But slip ups aside, I've always found him annoying.

He had an open net one timer. After his misfire, my reaction was that he looks like he hasn’t practiced his one-timer in months.

I know and that's why I thought the notification was for an infraction.

Maybe HF doesn't think I'll live until Jan 8th or something so they sent it a few days early. :dunno: :(

It just a classic case of computer logic. 1 year = 365.25 days. 20 * 0.25 = 5 days, 8-5 = 3, thus January 3rd mark the 20th year.

Players that played the worst tonight are the ”kids”. Slaf, Guhle, Hutson and Struble. No effort. Lazy plays. Half asleep. Carrier wasn’t good either.

I have no idea what the f*** is St Louis problem with Pezz. The dude came out and was skating hard and hitting everything in sight. What a douche move to bench him. It’s not like anyone else stepped up.

Back to reality I guess.
I laughed when the first time he double shifted a player for him (Caufield) we got scored against.

I don't see it that way, if you have an off day it doesn't mean you're terrible at your job.

but hey maybe you're perfectly consistent at your job, day in, day out, i don't know.

let's see how they do tomorrow? will their full lineup hopefully?

Are we really blaming the loss on the lack of Pez?

Is that what we're doing?
I'm blaming it on lousy game piloting. That's regardless of who is in the line up. Playing someone below 6 minutes in a game is disrispek.

You might as well leave him in the stands and dress a 3rd goalie.

MSL when he realized he was forced to play Pezzetta tonight.

Da-da-da da-da-da!

Someone called it “the most popular unknown song of all time” cause no one can ever find it. Try googling da-da-da and see if it comes up.

Jon Fratelli titled the song after his wife’s stage name, who was a burlesque dancer.

And now, it’s the Hawks’ goal song.

7min in penalties that 1st period didn’t help matters - 3rd pairing was brutal all game

Xhekaj needs Savard’s calming influence

well i think most of us saw this coming after flying high dominating 3 of the best teams in the league .. then new years eve in Las Vegas... not end of the world... but as stated by other in this thread, this is a must win type of game to be a true contender..can't have let downs against bad teams just cause you don't feel the same emotion you do against the best... but I think we all know we're not quite there yet... hopefully it's a lesson learned

one thing for sure... Habs are not the first team or the last to suffer this kind of game.

side note...I'm glad that if I had to miss a game, it was a loss to Chicago, lol.
