I still think playing Monty tonight was stupid.

Give Dobes Chicago with a fresh team in front of him, not Colorado with a tired team in front of him. Tomorrow night could easily be a blowout and he could have his confidence shattered 2 games into his NHL career...
Nah as a team that's trying to drag itself up the standings you need to secure the easy wins. This was the right decision. The team just wasn't desperate tonight.

Embarrassing

Losing like that to the dumpster of the league.

I called it, beats 3 of the best team in the league and can't play defense against this dog shit ass team

Embarassing seems harsh. Was a very frustrating game for sure, not our best, but we got very little bounces and Chicago deserves some credit, that's probably the hardest they've played in weeks.

Soderblom was a nuisance as well.

Had the makings of a classic trap game… and that’s what happened - got caught looking past Chi.

Hopefully the young players actually learn from this development opportunity

Monty was fine. They just couldn’t score to save their life. And just confirming, coaching staff obviously have Slaf staying an extra hour after every practice to work on his shot right?!?

Putting the crazy doomsday scenario aside... That would be a Then-so-be-it situation, you have no business nor future in the NHL if you are that brittle.

Very predictable loss. Hawks goalie did have a great game though.

The Evans trio carrying this team was never going to be a sustainable thing, especially with Laine out. Dach looked really good, but Newhook was completely invisible, looking forward to Demidov taking his spot. The Dvo line was also a non-factor tonight.

I don't think Slaf will be much better this year than he is right now tbh. I hope he gets a real good off season, because next year is the year this team should make some real noise.
