It was never going to be as good a 1st period as the last game against Vegas that was a once or twice a season period.

I think if Vegas was going to do any damage in this game it was going to be in the first period. Without their best offensive players it will be difficult to create much. If the Leafs can get the first goal, I think it will force Vegas into trying to push and the Leafs can counter.
