Absolutely bitch away if you want, it's a opinion board. But don't you think playing so many games in a row on the road has something to do with what you are saying is a drop in play? Jets were 15-1 before this road trip from hell started and i don't think they were stealing wins to get to 15-1.
Yup traveling and time zone changes affect people in different ways and hockey players are not different. Most teams in the Atlantic and Metropolitan Division have very light travel the majority of the year and hardly any time zone changes. It's a big advantage during a long season.

Boy did Stanley ever get walked in Howdens first goal
I noticed this as well, and Stanley had a very good angle on him, and Howden just blew by him. Having Stanley in the lineup, means we won't be winning too many games against fast teams like Vegas and the Avs.

Stanley's foot speed is just too slow, and the Jets should look to trade him for a defenseman that is big physical and "fast". He's just not good enough in my opinion.

Note - if that would have been Morrissey, I doubt that goal happens.

Nik Ehlers, dead at 28. Day to day.
He's not quite dead

Haven't been able to watch many games lately but saw the replay. It looked like a minor sprain to the outside of his ankle--few games is my guess.
Upper ankle sprains are notorious for being bitches to heal. Hopefully it's not that

What is your point? I do not think this team as built is more than a round 1 playoff team. They are a good regular season team when the games are loose and free but if the opponent takes away the middle of the ice and keeps the Jets from getting inside on offence the Jets typically lose and/or helly has to stand on his head.
You seem to tee off on those that do not wear Jets colored glasses. I refuse to be a cheerleader for a team that has done zippoohhh in the playoffs but for one decent run in 12 years.

I appreciate having a team and support it by going to games but it does not mean I cannot be critical or voice my opinion specifically on a fan forum meant for discussion and venting or celebrating when necessary.
.
please stop trying to pass your negativity off as realism, you been predicting losses all year long and when we finally have a tough stretch you try and say told you so, you act as if every loss is because the other team decided to play playoff hockey and I guess all our wins are just luck that they didn't?

like take florida home and home for example they were the faster team and beat us you called us frauds and a bubble team, saying we couldn't handle a playoff style game then we get 2 days rest and were able to skate with them and outplayed the very next game...

we played well enough to beat vegas with our top 2 centers playing hurt, ehlers missing half the game, samberg out coghlan playing his 1st game of the season, logan stanley coming back off an injury as well as using our back up goalie on what is essentially game 9 of a 13 game road trip, this is a good team in a very tough stretch

This is a perfectly fine retort, but misses the point. Negative opinions about the team often elicit sharp rebukes that are personal. It's silly--I get that the team is doing well and this is a place where uber-fans like to hang out, but there should be a lot more tolerance for fans who see things differently. They are often just as or more well-informed than the optimists, but just process information more critically.

and majority of teams have a road trips that covers only 2 time zones, going from the east to central to pacific then back to central is ridiculous even more so if you add in the fact that we have 2 home games in a stretch of 13 games that may as well be road games

“He’ll get some treatment and some rest today,” said Arniel. “We can’t really do a whole heck of a lot until we get home. We’ll see how today goes. He’ll get full treatment and we’ll see if there is more soreness or if it’s better.”

Arniel said the fact the game against Dallas starts at 3:30 pm CT works against Ehlers a bit, as every hour matters when it comes to the forward trying to get in the line-up.

“He’s the type of guy that wants to play,” said Arniel. “Obviously we know what he means to us. You saw what he did on (Cole) Perfetti’s first goal. He has a skill set that the opposition coaches circle with his speed and his ability to create.”

on one hand we need ehlers in the lineup on the other we have 2-3 guys already playing thru something so might be better just to give him time to heal

I appreciate you understanding my need to bitch. I believe that the road trip and injuries have contributed to the slide. Florida lost 7 in a row and the Rangers just ended a losing streak . The NHL is a tough league to win in. I did not expect the Jets to go 81-1. Maybe I am looking too far ahead but to make a run in the playoffs they will have a similar schedule to this hellish road trip. I am seeing signs that they are not deep enough or cut out for a long run of playoff hockey, Remember the Bruins set a record for most wins and lost in the first round. I guess I will try to take it game by game but when looking at the is trip starting in Minni I felt they would be lucky to win one game and that may be the case depending on tomorrow's outcome.

One man's negativity is another's realism. I am probably more pessimistic than negative but it is all semantics. There is no "I told you so" . Do not take my posts so personally. Please remember we are both fans just looking at the team from different perspectives.

True they handled Florida after being mauled by them and Florida went on a 7 game skid. I still think in a best of 7 that Florida wears them down and takes that series.

Kupari was hurt yesterday? lol I agree yesterday was better than vs. LA but I never got the feeling the Jets could beat the Mustard Knights. They always seem to find an ace up their sleeve. I also question why Helly did not start vs the Knights instead of the Kings.

Anyway, I do not think the Jets area bad team but question if they are built for along playoff run.

This is obviously categorically incorrect. The Jets did not play well enough to beat Vegas. This is proven by the fact that they lost to Vegas.

But perhaps you're not familiar with how that works. Let's take a look.

In hockey, unlike golf and taxes, a bigger number is better than a smaller number. The team that ends the game with the bigger number wins. In the case of the Vegas game, the end numbers looked like this:

Jets 3
Knights 4

You can ask a 6-year-old child if you don't believe me, but 4 is a bigger number than 3, and so the Knights won the game. They played well enough the beat the Jets. The Jets with their smaller number did not play well enough to beat Vegas; they would have needed a bigger number for that.

it's almost like in sports you can play good and lose and play bad and win, who knew?

Not a bad road game. Those games were going our way during the improbable record during the first ~15 games of the year. Puck luck was on our side. Keepers were stopping everything they could see, and the stuff they couldn't see was just hitting them. That stuff never goes on forever. We are basically .500 during the last 10 games. Hope we can settle into a .550 to .600 points percentage for the remainder of the season. Would put us ~100 point or better, solidly into the post season.

Believe it or not injuries in the first half of the season are not a bad thing especially when you have banked a few points. It gives your depth players a chance to play and see where they stack up against the other teams.
Maybe if the Jets had some injuries on defence last year Chisholm would still be a Jet.
